**BENTO VENTURE ~ WEEK 4**

This weeks bento isn't all that creative or colorful.

Actually its "The Bento That Almost Wasn't" LOL

A lot has happened in my life since last Wednesday and I hadn't had time to plan plus I just wasn't feeling up to the challenge. I wanted to just slap together a pb&j and call it done. But I had recently bought some cute fall themed supplies and I really wanted to use them so I finally talked myself into sprucing up the lunch just a bit hoping to save my fledging tradition and beckon fall into the desert.

Tomorrow's lunch welcomes in the 1st of October and yet we're still breaking triple digits for the highs, so needless to say I am ready for fall to head our way bringing cooler temps.

WEEK 4

*Apple Shaped Turkey & Cheddar sandwich, Leaf Shaped Turkey and Muenster sandwich (4 bite size apple and leaf shaped sandwiches sit under the larger ones) ~ Organic Cinnamon Applesauce ~ Baked White Cheddar Cheeto's ~ Layered on the leaf picks are slices of zucchini and steamed beats cut into leaf and apple shapes and finally, apple juice to drink and two little squares of Asian chocolate treats for dessert*

**BENTO VENTURE ~ WEEK 3**

Welcome to Week 3 of our Bento Venture.

This week was once again inspired through the wonderful Vegan Lunchbox blog.

We chose her asian inspired Potstickers & Chopsticks bento

Most of this had to be cooked/warmed the morning of, so it didn't get as decorated as I'd like...but it is full of her fave foods and I'm sure she'll have rave reviews this afternoon!

*WEEK 3*

~ Ling Ling Veggie Potstickers ~ Panda Sauce bottle filled w/ her fave Yoshida's sauce ~ Garlic Jasmine Rice ~ Steamed Soy Beans in the pod ~ 1/2 of a delicious Utah peach straight from the orchard ~ Chocolate Almond Milk & a couple of special sweet treats from the Asian market ~

**BENTO VENTURE** (WEEK 2)

It's time for our 2nd round of Bento Lunches.

Once again we found a delicious sounding lunch on the VeganLunchBox Blog.

This weeks lunch features Tofu Fish Sticks as the main entree.

V SAYS: For my daughters lunch I am including:

TOFU FISH STICKS ~ TATER TOTS ~ CUPS OF RANCH & KETCHUP (for dipping) ~ SUGAR SNAP PEAS ~ & HORCHATA RICE MILK

*The tofu is in the oven so I will have pics to post later tonight

-Later the same evening-

As promised, here are the pictures from today's Bentos.

First is the bento for my oldest daughter, she is 9 years old. I got more creative with the decor this week and her bento features carrot shaped flowers on stem picks and plump red grapes as balloons and rings. I can't wait for her reaction tomorrow afternoon!

I also put together a second Bento today. This one features the same foods only in smaller quantities for my 22 month old daughter. A few of her grapes are stacked onto umbrella picks. I think she'll enjoy spearing her fruit at lunch tomorrow.

I packed her lunch in a cute little Pandapple box found at the Sanrio shop in the mall.

**BENTO VENTURE** (WEEK 1)

One of our first ventures is all about tackling the same ole boring lunches we've been fixing for our respective children.

Namely PB&J's & Soy Dogs......which wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't Every. Single. Monotonous. Day. (Poor kids..LOL)

We both love Jennifer's VeganLunchBox blog and have committed to trying one of her lunch concoctions every Wednesday to spice up our kids lunch routines with healthy, yummy fun.

In the process we hope to glean some fab ideas of our own that will help us to create even more ideas in the future.

We'll be posting our pics right here each week.

Our 1st week takes us on a bright adventure as we imitate Jennifer's

Rocking Rainbow PB & J

((Kimber had to sit out this week due to catching too many babies. She has the delightful job of helping usher new lives into this world at a birth center *sigh* So beautiful.))

I am happy to announce that I just finished putting together my very first creative lunch for my eldest daughter. I made a few changes due to available grocery items in our area as well as food preferences.

-- WEEK 1 --

~ PB&J Fruit Topped Pita Rainbow ~ Carrot Sticks ~ Ranch Dip ~ Animal Crackers ~ 8oz Chocolate Almond Milk ~ 2 pieces of candy for a treat ~

Without further adieu....here's a photo:
